CD Spindle Afternoon Tea Keeper

Michelle from Snickerdoodle Creations found a great use for the plastic containers that blank CDs and DVDs come in. They are really sturdy little containers, so it would be shame to let them go to waste!

CD Spindle

Michelle removed the pole from the center with a small hacksaw and then blinged out the container with a decorative knob, patterned paper, and a ribbon. Then she had the perfect little container for tasty treats to accompany afternoon tea. Wouldn’t this also be an adorable gift decorated for a specific holiday with some seasonal sweets inside?

Very cute! I’ve seen people leave the spindle and use the container as a way to hold bagels or donuts. :)

  2. Cute!

  3. I am certain the plastic has leached chemicals from the discs. No way would I use that to hold food.
