Get your green thumb on! Nicole from The Felted Fox has a terrific gardening project to share with you that started with a weather-beaten garden structure. “For years we had stared at a large lattice structure, covered with a few scraggly vines, which separated our yard from the neighbours. We finally hit on the idea of converting it to a living wall,” Nicole says.
When planted with succulents, the garden wall they had in mind would not only provide them with more backyard privacy, but would also be drought tolerant. “We removed the old lattice and used some 1×2’s to build a grid within the old frame. We created pockets for the plants by stapling weed blocker to the grid. We then
filled the pockets with a soil/compost mix and planted our succulents,” Nicole explains. Check out the incredibly beautiful result after six months of growth:
