After renovating her master bedroom, Ama of OhOh Blog had plenty of big paint buckets left over. Not one to let anything go to waste, she decided to include one of those buckets in the new decor for the bedroom.
So exactly how did she turn a paint bucket into bedroom decor? Ama upcycled it into a stool. She sawed off part of the top of the bucket and attached wooden dowels to become the legs. She added batting and foam for comfort, then covered the stool in a soft gray fabric accented with yellow embroidery. Now Ama has the perfect spot to change shoes-and you’d never guess it started with an old paint bucket!

Excellent recycle!
The plastic material takes 200 years to degrade and became part of the in the soil…
And this plastic bucket got a new useful life outside the landfill.
Excellent point! We’re all about keeping things out of the landfill, here.
How adorable! And those chairs are awesome, too!
Or maybe those aren’t chairs? Whatever they are, I like them!
The whole vignette is great, I agree! Don’t you love the yellow stitches on the gray?
