“My husband and I repurposed an old dresser into a tool chest and ended up with 6 drawers left over,” Allison of The Golden Sycamore explains. “And since I’ve started blogging, I’ve become a hoarder and can’t throw anything out! So, I knew I had to find a way to reuse them!”
I think the idea that Allison came up with for these drawers was pure genius! After her husband cut off the higher part of each drawer to form a box, she gave each drawer two coats of butter yellow chalk paint followed by a coat of clear wax. Next, she added pretty drawer pulls to the front of each box. Here’s were the bright idea comes out: Allison attached felt circles to the bottom of the boxes to protect her floors, and fit them underneath the couch to serve as pretty storage bins! I really love this idea.
