Here’s a fun little upcycling project that will be great to try out with the kids. File it away for next year, because this looks like something that will keep the little ones busy for hours. Rachel from Adventures of a DIY Mom came up with this, and it all started with pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.
Rachel washed the empty can of pumpkin out so it could be recycled. Then it struck her: that used can could get a new life right away! First, she bent back the sharp edge of the can so it wouldn’t be a risk, and spray painted the can orange. While the paint dried, Rachel cut a variety of jack-o-lantern face shapes from out of black paper. She laid the face shapes out onto magnetic sheets and cut the magnets to fit each shape, gluing them together. Once completed, Rachel had a fun Halloween toy for her children to enjoy. Great idea!
