From Vintage Sheets to Embroidered Wall Art

Today Sarah is combining two passions (vintage bed linens and needlework) to create fabulous, one-of-a-kind art pieces to hang up in her home. Over at Sadie Seasongoods, she took us behind the scenes of her “latest and greatest repurposed sheet project.”

Sarah couldn’t decide between these two sheets, so she grabbed them both from her stash. She spray-painted her dark brown thrift-store picture frames white so the color wouldn’t show through the thin sheets. She stretched her sheets around the frames and used a staple gun to attach the fabric to the back side. Then Sarah “just kicked back, turned on a favorite show . . . and embroidered to my heart’s delight!” That sounds like my kind of party-and the results are fabulous!
