Jenna of Rain on a Tin Roof decided it was finally time to do something with the garage sale lamp that had been sitting around for over a year. It reminded her of the old TV show “I Dream of Jeannie,” but it was going to take more than just folding her arms and blinking to update this old piece. Armed with her own brand of magic and some great paint colors, Jenna worked a masterful transformation! (See what I did there?)
Jenna cleaned and prepped the lamp, then started painting. Her confession is that she agonized over paint colors for ages, and then a 17-yr-old boy handed her a “great color combination in under five minutes.” I guess sometimes it does just take a fresh pair of eyes, right? Jenna took her time and used several sizes of paintbrushes to get into all the nooks and crannies. I just love how great these bold colors look!
