Anima can’t stop herself from collecting pretty paper straws, but she also can’t bring herself to ruin them by (gasp!) drinking from them. So she’s decided to “use them to make pretty things instead.” At This Design Journal, Anima is showing us an easy way to transform a straw stash into colorful vases. Anima removed the labels from a couple of clean soup cans, then painted them to “match or contrast with the straws.” She cut down the straws do varying lengths to add a bit of interest before using a hot glue gun to adhere them in place. Now her containers are ready to be used as vases, pencil holders, whatever she wants! This is such an easy project, but it packs a great visual punch. Thanks for sharing, Anima!
