When you see wooden skewers you might think of summer grilling (mmmm . . . grilling) but Amy’s mind went in a completely different direction! Instead of going the shish kabob route, she used hers to create an absolutely free Anthropologie-inspired geometric pendant lamp. She’s showing us how it’s done at Delineate Your Dwelling.
Amy says, “This project was as easy as could be.” After cutting down some of her skewers, she started hot-gluing them into shapes. Then she glued those shapes together and “simply added a few more wooden skewers to create additional interest.” After the glue dried, she grabbed a metallic spray paint to give the lamp the brassy look she was going for. Now the lamp lives in her office, where I bet it provides loads of inspiration and opportunities for back-patting when she remembers that one time when she spent zero dollars on a lamp instead of $398!
