Paige has been hanging on to a “chopped up spool bed” for over a year. As she tells us at A Junkchick Life, “It was a side of the road freebee that I dragged home specifically for the sole purpose of making a bench.” The stars (and the perfect shade of milk paint) have aligned, and now her bench is a reality!
First she cut the foot board in half, taking off more as needed to get the seat depth she wanted. Then she screwed those pieces into the headboard. (Voila! A seat back and arms!) She used her carpentry skills to create a seat frame and boards. Paige applied a drool-worthy shade of milk paint on her bench, then finished it off with hemp oil. I think I’m in love!
