Dianne’s daughter found an old computer desk on the curb while out riding her bike. Dianne, who blogs at Once upon a Storage, says she had been “looking for a piece that I could turn into a BBQ Prep Station on our patio,” so she snagged this desk and turned it into a fully loaded Father’s Day gift.
First Dianne reconfigured the desk to be more functional: She turned it around so that the “horizontal support bar became a new towel rack,” and installed the keyboard on top of the desk to create an additional shelf space. Then Dianne gave the desk a few coats of enameled black spray paint to get it looking new again. She spray painted some 3M Command Hooks silver and attached them to the side to hold BBQ utensils. The rest she filled in with fabulous entertaining and grilling supplies that she already had on hand. Pretty sure her husband is going to love this!
