Are you opening any cans for dinner tonight? Hang on to those babies! Amanda from Dwelling in Happiness turned hers into a set of colorful marbled luminaries that look amazing when the sun goes down! (Actually, they look amazing when the sun it up, too.) She’s sharing her project at Juggling Act Mama and says, “These luminaries are perfect for hanging around the patio, lit up along stairs, or sitting on outdoor tables.”
After washing and drying her tin cans, Amanda spray painted them white. She added different shades of nail polish into a container of water, then dipped her cans in the water until they grabbed up all the polish. She used a hammer and nails to create holes in the sides of the dry cans for the light to shine through, then attached a loop of wire for hanging. Amanda added a tea light candle to each one and is now ready to throw some fabulous outdoor parties!
